Security Manager, Construction Innovation Hub

Being a recognised authority in relation to security-minded approaches within the fields of built environment and infrastructure asset management, risk management and safety, Alex is a crucial member of the Hub Board. In addition, her role as Security Manager for the Hub means that she’s responsible for ensuring the broad-reaching security implementations of transforming the industry are considered and prioritised.

Alex has a wealth of experience in consulting upon security issues pertaining to asset management, BIM, digital built environments, intelligent transport systems and the management of information. Accumulating expertise through several safety risk and investigation engineer roles, Alex has spent the past 13 years acting as an independent consultant to the public and private sector, specialising in the development, implementation, management and auditing of proportionate and structured management systems, policies and processes within each of these disciplines. She has also undertaken forensic investigation and analysis of incidents, previously frequently acting as an expert witness.

As a result of her expertise, she has authored, and been involved in the production of, standards in the UK and internationally in relation to the implementation of security and security-minded approaches as well as authoring a number of supporting articles, documentation and guidance material.
