Digital Construction Week 2022

Digital Construction Week is the UK’s only event dedicated to digital construction, engineering, design, manufacturing, and operation. Learn about the latest solutions and trends through interactive demos, free seminars and workshops.

Join us for this two-day UK event for digital design, construction, engineering, manufacturing and operations, and learn about the tools and processes shaping the future of the built environment.

Check out some of the sessions where you can hear the latest news from the Hub:

The Legacy the Construction Innovation Hub leaves behind

  • Keith Waller, Programme Director.
  • Wednesday 18 May – 14:30 – 15:15 at the main stage.

Join Keith as he shares the legacy the Hub leaves as the programme begins to draw to a close and ‘what next?’ – what can be done next to embed adoption of new ways of working through industry – in all areas of our society.

Value Toolkit: The future of value-based decision making

  • Dr Robert Illes, Lead Researcher, Skills and Training.
  • Wednesday 18 May – 15:15 – 15:45 at the main stage.

Join our session to find out more about the Value Toolkit framework trialled by Project Etopia and pioneering housebuilder Ilke Homes, which demonstrates how transformation of the UK Construction sector is gaining pace. Recent regulatory changes have signalled an urgent need to improve building safety and quality with a call to transform the ‘traditional’ approach to construction in favour of an approach that delivers better quality, safe and assured results. This approach has a heavy focus on offsite construction manufacturing as a method of ensuring consistent quality, increasing efficiencies, lowering costs and improving the impact on society and the environment.

Digital Transformation brought to you by Construction Innovation Hub

  • David Philp, Impact Director.
  • Wednesday 18 May – 15:45 – 16:30 at the main stage.

Aligning digital transformation and innovative ways of working to organizational objectives such as net zero has never been so important. Join the Hub and partners in a practical session which will help you configure a digital road map and how the Hub outputs can assist in your deployment.

CPQP: What does it all mean?

  • Krish Pamar, Research Engineer – Assurance & Compliance.
  • Wednesday 18 May – 16:30 – 17:00 at the main stage.

The Construction Product Quality Planning (CPQP) framework, formerly known as Construction Quality Planning (CQP), delivers a quality planning process aimed at projects and workstreams that design, manufacture and use construction products through manufacturing-led approaches. This standardised process will help the sector to scale up and meet the fast-growing need for construction to deliver more platform-based solutions. Join our session to find out more about the framework following the release of our technical insights.

Celebrating the Hub at breakfast

As part of Digital Construction Week 2022, we are delighted to invite you to a breakfast hosted by the Hub.

In collaboration with over 300 organisations, industry bodies, policy-makers, practitioners and academics, the Construction Innovation Hub has been driving innovation throughout construction, addressing the sector’s performance and productivity challenges.

The Hub has developed technical solutions that meet the key ambitions of the challenge. Helping create the right enabling environment – policy, standards, regulations – that allow innovations to be deployed. Working on solutions that are aligned with government policy such as procurement reform, the Construction Playbook and Transforming Infrastructure Performance Roadmap to 2030. Developing tools and solutions like our Value Toolkit and recently published beta Platform Rulebook.

Join us at this breakfast event to celebrate the work we have done over the course of the programme and be one of the first to find out what’s coming next. Register here.
