As Impact Director for the Construction Innovation Hub, Gill promotes the adoption of Platform Construction systems, assurance, digital and value tools created by the Hub to help enable industry to fulfil government’s Transforming Construction mission. Gill also currently chairs the BSI Construction Products Committee (CB-3) and is a member of the Construction Strategy Committee (CB/-) which is responsible for setting the strategy for the built environment over the next 4 years. In this role, she has full strategic oversight of Built environment standards across UK and globally backed up by technical committee support.
Gill joined the Construction Innovation Hub after leading Policy & Engagement for the Active Building Centre, a partner in the UKRI Transforming Construction Challenge, where she was responsible for Creating tools and solutions to build industry capacity to improve assurance of buildings, such as CPQP, Digital Route compliance guidance and tools.
Gill has a proven track record leading industry and business strategy, policy, industrial engagements for global organisations (BASF plc) trade associations and partnerships across the fields of innovation, construction and energy (Construction Products Association, UKRI Active Building Centre and SPECIFIC IKC). Throughout her career she has advocated extensively for smarter, greener and more efficient buildings through collaboration with government and industry groups and suppliers; championing sustainability campaigns promoting low carbon & energy efficiency solutions to support industry adoption of low carbon technologies and solutions.
