Information Management Delivery Lead, Construction Innovation Hub

As Head of Information Management for the Centre for Digital Built Britain and Information Management Delivery Lead for the Construction Innovation Hub, Henry’s experience across the built environment in the Information Management space allows him to represent the interests of clients, consultants and constructors that is grounded in his own experience and reality.  He believes that the  need to innovate within the built and natural environments is becoming increasingly pressing. The issues surrounding improving productivity and efficiency as well as addressing climate change need to be pursued and pursued with determination.

Henry brings with him a breadth of experience from research to implementation that includes everything from getting his hands dirty on projects to leading programmes of work for large clients. Henry began his digital career as a Knowledge Transfer Partnership Associate bringing the benefits of BIM to Colour Urban Design Limited. Wrote the book BIM for Landscape on behalf of Colour Urban Design Ltd. Teesside University and the Landscape Institute.

He acted as Group BIM Implementation Manager at WYG where he was responsible for creating and implementing the company’s BIM policy, and managed high value BIM projects and frameworks including the DIO. In addition, he has worked as a Digital Consultant, working with clients on a variety of projects including Nuclear, Water, Rail and Demolition for a variety of clients, helping them to implement Information Management in their organisations.

Henry is proud to have been a member of the UK BIM Framework Steering Group and take part in defining the future of the UK BIM Framework in light of the new Information Management Mandate. This is an opportunity for Information Management to unlock the digital capability of the built environment sector.
