Huda As’ad

Head of Infrastructure Performance, Infrastructure Projects Authority

Huda’s extensive experience working within the landscape of transforming infrastructure and construction through central government, and her vision for an industry where organisations work together towards joint ambitions of improving productivity, increasing sustainability and attracting top talent to the sector, makes her a valued member of the Industry Advisory Board.

Huda is qualified as a chartered civil engineer and has spent over 18 years working within the UK construction and infrastructure market including consulting on the delivery of highly challenging infrastructure programmes such as the London 2012 Olympics, Dublin Airport T2 and advising on risk and cost analysis for the Thames Tideway Tunnel. In her current capacity as Head of Infrastructure Performance at the Infrastructure Projects Authority, reporting directly to the Cabinet Office and HM Treasury, she has responsibility for ensuring that the Transforming Infrastructure Performance programme is adopted and implemented successfully, helping to provide continuous improvement to the UK’s £600bn infrastructure pipeline over the next 10 years. In addition to this, Huda also has a seat on several industry-related boards, including an NHS trust.

Huda shares the Hub’s mission of aligning activities across public sector clients, suppliers and stakeholders in order to support the effective transformation of UK construction through mindful, consistent and sustainable practices, bringing insight from the Masters in Sustainability Leadership in the Built Environment she is currently studying.
