Enabling a data-driven sector through innovation and information management is behind Neil’s drive to build a better performing and more sustainable industry. As the Information Management Integrated Project Lead for the Hub, Neil is influencing the direction of the construction sector. He believes the digital transformation of our sector will have a profound impact on business models and the fabric of the built environment supply chain.
Alongside Neil’s role at the Hub, he also holds the role of Director of Digital at Atkins and of Honorary Associate Professor at University College London’s Bartlett School of Construction and Project Management. He is also co-host of the Digital Twin Fan Club Podcast where he explores the possibilities of connecting our social and economic infrastructure to the internet.
Neil has worked for nearly 20 years in implementing change and technology in complex environments. From engineering design and construction to asset management, Neil has advised and delivered projects across the whole asset lifecycle. A Chartered Construction Manager (CIOB) and member of the Data Management Association, IET and CIOB with a background in environmental engineering (building services engineering BEng) and construction economics (Construction Economics & Management MSC), Neil combines his unique skills to integrate systems, cultures and technology into construction and asset management processes.
